PL Matchday was built by a fan who wanted to better understand his team's performance and didn't want to rely on a sporadic Twitter post analyzing data. Once the framework was built for one club, applying the widgets for the whole league was less of a challenge!
The site will allow you to follow your club's season in more depth than a standard scoreboard allows. Pick your team, and get a full season view: league position, squad data, comparative performance against last season, and detailed statistical breakdowns. Scoring formulas (used in the Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season rankings) are calculated transparently and explained directly on the page.
All match data is sourced from public football data providers. It's a side project, not a company, so some stats that aren't live will be updated at the end of each matchday.
The goal is for PL Matchday to always be free for anyone to use: no accounts, no paywalls, no subscriptions. If something looks wrong or missing, there's a feedback button in the top right, and every report gets read.
