The Amex Stadium, officially the American Express Community Stadium, opened in 2011 and ended a decades-long search for a permanent home for Brighton and Hove Albion after years of nomadic existence. Built into the South Downs near the University of Sussex campus in Falmer, the ground's distinctive sail-like roofline has become a landmark on the outskirts of the city. With a capacity approaching 32,000 and plans for expansion, it has grown into one of the more modern and well-regarded arenas in the top flight.
