Opened 1910
Old Trafford is the largest club football stadium in the United Kingdom, with a capacity of over 74,000 and a history stretching back to 1910. Known as the Theatre of Dreams, the ground in Trafford — just west of Manchester city centre — has been the backdrop for some of the most celebrated moments in European football, including three European Cup and Champions League triumphs. Redevelopment plans to expand capacity and modernise facilities are underway, but Old Trafford retains its iconic status as one of the sport's great cathedrals.
